D1 Boys: Pat McGowan won for Mansfield in16:05, which also won the meet team-wise to repeat as MA D1 State Champions with 133 points.  Methuen was close behind with 137, followed Brookline (153), Lowell (158), and St. John's Prep (164).  Anthony Taylor of Arlington followed in 16:10, with Jared Reddy of Methuen just behind him in 16:11.  Westborough finished a disappointing tenth, due in part to their #2 man Jeff Bush finishing a disappointing 20th in 17:01.

Girls D1: Northeast region #1 Lincoln Sudbury yet again asserted themselves as the top girls team in MA by handily defeating NE #4 Newton South 52-102.  Franklin finished a solid third with 126.  Andrea Keklak won the individual title for LS as well, winning the race in 19:00 flat.  Carolyn Stocker of Westfield was not far behind in 19:05, and freshman Christine Davis took third for Acton Boxbrough in 19:14. 

Boys D2: Favorite Johnny Gregorek (Seekonk) supposedly cramped up about 200m into the race (he ended up finishing a respectable 14th anyway), leaving the individual title wide open.  Arleigh McRae (16:23) of Whitinsville Christian jumped on the opportunity, in a win that surprised most even without Gregorek playing a factor.  Not surprisingly, Pembroke ran away with the meet with a low score of 37.  Bishop Feehan followed with 95, and Gregorek's Seekonk rounded out the top three (142).  Pembroke's Ryan Kelley and Paul Cina (16:26 and 16:28, respectively) got second and third, with Dennis-Yarmouth's Max Darrah finishing a disappointing ninth in 17:02.

Girls D2: Bishop Feehan won with the low score of 45, followed closely behind by Hamilton Wenham (70).  Alanna Poretta of Pentucket won in 19:08, followed by Swampscott's Lindsay Walsh (19:11), Feehan's Viviana Hanley (19:19), H-W's Alison Lanois (19:36), and Cardinal Spellman's Katie Powers (19:37).  Milton (141), Mt. Greylock (157), and Sutton (186) rounded out the top five team-wise.

Overall, another great meet here in MA!  We are now officially ready for NXN and Footlocker Regionals next weekend!
